Spellcast Time Method

Example 1:  Two spells cast during a turn. As you can see the total time for the two spells cast on the left is 5 Seconds.  That's 3 Seconds for the Giant Weapon Shield spell and 2 Seconds for the Tame Group spell.  If you were to cast these two spells during a turn you would not be permitted to cast any additional spells.  Notice that these spells are powerful with the Giant Weapon Shield able to protect two medium or four small-sized players and the Tame Group able to stun one gargantuan, two medium or four small-sized players.
Example 2:  Four spells cast during a turn.  In this example you could cast four spells the same turn whose total Spellcast Time is 5 Seconds.  Notice that these spells are not a powerful as the spells in Example 1 and some are rather low in Class as well.
Another new idea developed for FELLLOWSHIPS of Men & Monsters is the Spellcast Time Method.  While you are free to use any of your spells right from the first turn of the game, you are not permitted to exceed you allotted Spellcasting Time per turn.  Both teams, regardless of whether they are attacking or defending, are limited to 5 Seconds of total Spellcasting Time per turn.  Thus you need to be careful about which spells you choose to cast each turn.  The required Spellcasting Time for each spell can easily be found in the spell card's lower left hand corner.  The Spellcasting Time allotted for each spell is based on a variety of factors, including the magnitude of the spell's effect and the Class of the spell.  For example you may be able to find a higher Class spell which produces the same effect of a lower Class spell, but the Spellcasting Time will be shorter. As you will find being able to cast more spells earlier in the game is critical compared to later in the game when you may have fewer players and find you don't need to cast as many spells.  The example below illustrates this concept of how you can select a different number of spells during a given turn depending on the power and effect of the spells.
