Another new system idea for the FELLOWSHIPS of Men & Monsters CCG is the ClassLimit Deck Building System. Using ClassLimit allows you to select as many cards of a certain type, such as player, spell or magic item, as long as you remain within the Deck Building Total Class Limits for each particular card type (see table at the bottom of this page). This system allows you to play any of your cards right from the start of the game instead of slowly and randomly drawing cards from deck, hoping to get the cards you need! Each card is assigned a specific Class value found in the upper right-hand corner of the card. Basically the higher the Class, the more powerful the card. Thus you could select many less powerful (or lower in Class) cards or fewer more powerful (or higher in Class) cards. The examples below illustrate this system by selecting Player cards whose total Class does not exceed 8.
Example 1: One very powerful monster player. If you choose you can select one very powerful player whose Class is equal to 8. The hydra beast to the left is a very powerful monster with a very high Life and Damage Attack. He will be able to slay nearly any opponent as well as being very tough to slay. The disadvantage to selecting this monster is that he is only one player, and if he is slain, the Monsters Team takes a big loss.
Example 2: Two powerful monster players. Instead of choosing just one very powerful monster players you can choose two powerful monsters with each on having a Class equal to 4. Although these monsters are nearly as powerful as the monster in Example 1 they are both very strong combatants and if one of them get slain it will not be such a shocking blow to the Monsters Team.
Example 3: Five less powerful monster players. You can also choose five less powerful monsters having much lower Class values of 2 or less. This option will offer more versatility and flexibility when attacking although these players will be easier for your opponent to slay.
Use the table below to pick whatever players, spells or magic items you wish, as long as you do not exceed the total class limit for that particular card type and you follow these two simple rules; 1.) Do not exceed the total Class Limit in any of the card types or you will lose, and 2.) No two exact players with the same name, i.e. Dargo the Sturdy, are ever allowed. Multiple spells & magic with the same name are allowed.
